The Lab Operating System \(LOS\) department is seeking a Quality Systems Professional to help create and implement the new Lab Operating System \(LOS\) for Sandia\. The LOS is designed to create an engaged culture that drives operational efficiencies and delivers customer value ultimately enabling Sandia to deliver outstanding engineering, science, and technology to all our customers in the most efficient manner possible\. This position will play a key role in establishing and overseeing key aspects of the improvement efforts, such as developing and administrating elements of the LOS training and coaching employees, and driving change and continuous improvement throughout the organization\. The position acts as a champion and change agent for high quality results institution\-wide so successful candidates must be able to connect at all levels of the organization\. This position is responsible for establishing and deploying strategic plans, processes, and tools at the institutional level so performance will meet or exceed both internal and external customers' needs and expectations\.

Major responsibilities will include:

+ Working collaboratively within the LOS team and leading cross\-functional teams to facilitate and drive integrated, multi\-disciplinary solutions to complex operational problems and/or align with mission/strategic objectives\.

+ Creating tools and processes and supporting materials for LOS \(guides, templates, presentations, etc\.\)\.

+ Building relationships with teams across the Lab to incorporate voice of customer in LOS products and support implementation through coaching\.

+ Designing, developing, and facilitating strategic planning and process improvements\. Using qualitative and quantitative data to develop strategies, goals and objectives, and detailed plans for long\-range implementation\.

+ Developing business processes to facilitate program/project management\. Using quality and project management methodology and tools to identify, evaluate, and improve complex business and technical problems\.

+ Defining and establishing effectiveness measures and metrics to ensure consistent and predictable delivery of work\-related products and services\.


99. Requires Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline \(i\.e\.\-Industrial Engineering or Business Management\) plus 5 or more years of experience; or Master's degree in relevant discipline plus 2 or more years experience; or Doctorate in relevant discipline\.

99. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L\-level security clearance\.


99. Experience with continuous improvement, lean management, or quality systems\.

99. Green Belt Certification\.

99. Knowledge of Sandia Quality Processes\.

99. Current and active DOE L\-level security clearance\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\)\-granted L\-level security clearance\.

Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre\-employment drug testing, and a pre\-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications\. Applicants for employment must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L\-level security clearance, which requires U\.S\. citizenship\.
