We are seeking a qualified candidate to establish and to steward Sandias continuous improvement programs for Business Excellence\. The selected candidate will develop, implement, and oversee a corporate wide solution for managing the integration and prioritization of lab activities to include strategic initiatives and improvement projects\. The selected candidate will help establish and oversee key aspects of the institution's continuous improvement efforts, such as developing and administrating elements of the program, training and coaching employees, and driving change throughout the organization\. Success in this role will include being a champion and change agent for high quality results institution\-wide and being responsible for establishing and deploying strategic plans, policies, processes, procedures, and tools at the institutional level so quality improvement efforts will meet or exceed internal and external customers' needs and expectations\.


99. Requires Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 5 years of demonstrated experience in Lean Six Sigma or Project Management; or Master's degree in relevant field and 2 years of demonstrated experience in Lean Six Sigma or Project Management\.

99. Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L\-level security clearance\.


99. Demonstrated teaming skills, including the ability to work effectively with other organizations, project sponsors, directors, and managers\.

99. Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to develop and articulate a strategic plan and implement that plan across a cross functional team\.

99. Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with management, customers, and stakeholders at all levels\.

99. Demonstrated experience in applying Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques \(Green Belt or Black Belt Certification\)\.

99. Experience managing complex projects\.

99. Knowledge of Sandias structure, strategy, and operations\.

99. Demonstrated experience in making informed recommendations and decisions, and communicating across project disciplines\.

99. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills\.

99. Experience working with the Department of Energy, the National Nuclear Security Administration, or the Department of Defense\.

99. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interface with science and engineering technical management and staff\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\)\-granted L\-level security clearance\.

Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre\-employment drug testing, and a pre\-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications\.
