Quality Cell Leader

The Quality Assurance (QA) Cell Leader objective is to follow customer requirements, regulatory requirements and corporate policies to ensure the production of compliant products.

The position objectives and responsibilities include:

  • Ensure team compliance for quality assurance and customer provisions and criteria.
  • Serve as an issue resolution focal point that works with engineering, customer service support, to drive continuous improvement in products and processes.
  • Facilitate the collection of data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide leadership with the proper disposition of nonconforming material when participating in the Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
  • Perform as an integrated team leader with engineering, customer service support, to investigate and correct various quality issues related to internal non-Conformances, product returns, supplier issues, customer complaints and corrective action requests with clear and concise reports to customers.
  • Participate on cross functional team projects to improve the overall organization and to develop a career path and leadership, with coaching and assistance by the Quality Manager.

  • BA/BS degree w/6–10+ years experience
  • MA/MS degree w/4–7+ years experience
  • PhD degree w/2–4+ years experience

  • Familiar with the following computer software: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and a general understanding of quality procedures.
  • Be able to follow written/verbal procedures and instructions.
  • Possess good organizational skills. Follow all EH&S rules and guidelines. Support ACE and continuous improvement.
  • Possess good people and communication skills.
  • Experience with CMM and quality validation using a variety of tools.

Understanding of internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings.
Ability to understand and interpret engineering technical data to provide guidance to cross functional teams.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong presentation, planning, problem solving, organizational, project management and decision-making skills.

Results focused work ethic to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Knowledge of aerospace quality standards including AS9100, AS9102, ISO..
Knowledge of Document Control and Calibration systems.
Ability to query data from SAP and Solumina database systems.
Able to interpret manufacturing drawings and 3D models.

Must be willing to work off-shifts or an alternate work week. Be able to work in a team environment. Be able to handle multi-tasking duties.
