This UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) business unit is seeking a motivated individual to join the Project Engineering organization in support of Pratt & Whitney PurePower engine program . The candidate will be responsible for leading the UTAS Integrated Product Development (IPD) team in the design, fabrication, procurement, assembly and test process. Candidate will also be responsible for supporting investigations as a result of production or field failures.

Primary Responsibilities:
1.Lead an Integrated Product Development (IPD) team
2. Lead hardware root cause investigations by generating and maintaining a fault tree and using a running action item list to drive closure of actions
3.Develop and use project schedules to coordinate Integrated Product Development (IPD) team activities to achieve program milestones
4.Execute class 1 engineering changes per Pratt & Whitney (P&W) Configuration Control Board (CCB) process as required
5.Organize reviews, compile comments, and coordinate approvals (both internal & external to HS) of documents such as drawings, qualification test plans, test reports, and requirements documents
6.Coordinate with UTAS Customer Support and Pratt & Whitney on delivery and disposition of returned hardware from flight test and service
7.Support and ensure implementation of various field sustainment and production readiness activities, including product improvement initiatives
  • At least 2 years of related experience
  • Good oral and written skills are necessary along with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly across all levels of the organization
  • Basic working knowledge of electronics, Should have the ability to engineering principals during engineering investigations and conduct tests under the guidance of a senior engineer.
Education Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering from a four-year university (BSEE preferred)
