We are seeking an innovative, data driven, results-oriented Program Manager to contribute to our continued legacy of innovation. This person leads the program management function in delivering on new product developments, sustaining engineering activities, and executive management communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Integrates and executes a multi-functional commercialization process to deliver product/system offerings.
  • Creates, assembles and leads a cross-functional team, ensuring that comprehensive functional plans and deliverables are in place.
  • Key communicator of business goals to Project Team, and sets Team performance commitments to those goals.
  • Provides for the timely assessment, planning, and execution of product commercialization.
  • Drives the rigorous use of the UTC passport process to assure that commitments are well defined and met.
  • Manages program risk at all levels and ensures effective contingency planning.
  • Develops and monitors key product, program, and business measures. Agrees on goals and allowable variances on these goals, with the business leaders and communicates progress.
  • Achieves expected and committed product delivery, quality, service, and financial goals. Informs business leaders as soon as an “out of bounds” condition develops. Develops recommendations for dealing with the situation in a timely fashion.
  • Successful completion of the commercialization program consistent with agreed-to measures (i.e., achievement of sales & service goals, customer satisfaction, cycle time, schedule conformance).
  • All elements of the value chain (sales, operations, service, etc.) reach agreed upon goals for the product.
  • Consistency of the product with the “bounding box” parameters.
  • Technology and portfolio leveraging.
  • Product consistent with customer needs and expectations, meets business goals.
  • Delivers consistent, credible communication with Business Unit Supervisors (risks, issues, wins/loses).
  • Utilize tools/resources to effectively manage Business (MS Project, MS Office, Resource Management, HP Quality Center, Rally, Forecast Spreadsheets, and Budget Planning).

Qualification: QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Strong presentation skills and confidence presenting to, and working with, executives and leaders in other functions and business units
  • Demonstrated ability to forecast savings, work, risk management, effort, budget, etc.
  • Experience with successful deliver of programs to aggressive schedules and supply chain management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including ability to influence various levels within the organization necessary to achieve project goals
  • Thorough understanding of business processes, with an emphasis on procurement and product development lifecycle, as well as a basic understanding of information systems and the related infrastructure technology areas
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including managing resources in a matrix environment, ability to build strong relationships, and foster an effective team environment
  • Excellent time and task management skills with ability to provide direction and focus on deliverables
  • Ability to understand, define, and satisfy the business needs – both defined and not yet known – of the procurement community
  • Proficient in MS-Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • Highly energetic, motivated, process-oriented, and creative
  • Ability to drive initiatives cross-functionally and across multiple divisions
  • Experience managing manufacturing programs from inception to deployment a plus
  • Knowledge of hardware preferred


Education: EDUCATION:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Program/ Project Management
  • BA/BS degree with 6 + years experience
  • MA/MS degree with 4 + years experience
