This position leads the execution of assigned technical activities for military APS1000 APU program(s).

Reporting directly to the APU Chief Engineer, the Program Chief Engineer interfaces directly with all engineering functions, customers, and suppliers to ensure successful completion of engineering milestones and deliverables on their assigned program(s).

The successful candidate will lead a team, working with Design Integration to insure all technical aspects of their assigned APU programs meet production and product improvement requirements within assigned budgets. The PCE will work within the Integrated Product Structure as an integral part of the program specific Integrated Program Management Teams (IPMT) and have direct responsibility for the execution engineering development, production support, and airframe integration tasks.

Within the greater program context, the Program Chief Engineer will drive execution of airframe and design integration through the SIPT, Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs), and Configuration Control Board (CCB) to deliver a product which fulfills all customer and job ticket requirements while maximizing APU commonality.

*Education / Certifications

BS Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or acceptable equivalent BS

*Experience / Qualifications

Position requires exceptional technical leadership skills coupled with excellent written and oral communication skills to enable day to day direction of a large, technical, and matrixed team.

Must have ability to work within a highly complex, international business environment while maintaining the highest standards for International Trade Compliance; be results oriented and decisive; and possess a proven track record of good technical and business decision making. Hardware procurement/management experience with turbomachinery, combined with systems integration experience would be a plus.

This position also requires significant personal dedication and commitment to successfully achieving APU program objectives and is based at the P&W West Palm Beach facility in Florida.
