Pratt & Whitney Amercon, a Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Module Center (HSMC) organization, has an open position for a Production Control Specialist. This position will require the candidate to work with the manufacturing team to meet enterprise goals and objectives for cost, delivery, and quality. The responsibilities of the position will require a proficiency in the manufacturing processes, shop flow, and constraint management to efficiently lead the business’s delivery priorities, WIP management, and capacity planning initiatives. This will require the synchronization of interdepartmental and external (supply chain) operations through the manufacturing process to meet schedule demand. The focus of this role is on manufacturing processes external to Amercon.

This position will also require the candidate to participate and/or lead organizational business process teams including EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) and lean manufacturing teams, and employee engagement initiatives.

The candidate will work to maintain and improve existing supplier relationships as well as support development and execution of strategies for expanded growth. This position will actively manage and analyze supplier base capability and internal value stream to comply with technical, quality, and delivery commitments along with supporting HSMC’s continued improvements with lead-time, cost reduction, and operational goals. The candidate will provide support to foster a professional working relationship between supplier base, engineering, operations, and management through effective communications. The individual will be required to provide clear updates with regard to production meetings, delivery schedules, quotes, technical requirements, and to ensure that all company policies and procedures are in compliance.

Successful individuals will:
• Define strategies and coordinate activities through multiple organizations.
• Establish standards and expectations for work effort and performance. Give constant feedback on performance to those standards.
• Implement lean manufacturing measures to insure value streams and vendor operations are healthy at all times and/or to be able to identify areas of opportunity quickly.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and other organizations to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Communicate to peers and management, the requirements that support processes to ensure smooth production flow.
• Establish system architecture designs that take into account customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities.
