The GTF Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Operations team is seeking a Process & Methods Engineer to support the PW1000G global network’s engine overhaul shops (U.S., Germany, Japan, Singapore). In addition to the overhaul shops’ engineering and operations community, the position will work closely with a very broad set of organizations including Operations’ industrial readiness team, all Aftermarket support and services organizations, Engineering (CIPTs), and production build and test sites. Responsibilities include driving the entire value stream to support:

  • Development and validation of optimized disassembly and assembly procedures, tooling, facility equipment and software to improve TAT, reduce labor hours, and improve quality;
  • Support evaluations of shops for source approved procedures;
  • Support data analysis and project prioritization;
  • Support shop visit workstop resolutions;
  • Identification, evaluation and implementation of best practices from production, development and MRO sites
  • Compliance and sustainment of source approved procedures;
  • Technical data and tooling turnbacks resolution;
  • Regulatory and customer source approvals;
  • Shop delivery and technical performance, and customer feedback;

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4 – 6 years of experience working in an MRO overhaul and repair station environment required or in an Operations or Engineering capacity.
  • 4 – 6 years of project management experience within a matrixed organization, managing project stages, deliverables, meeting deadlines, and influencing teams.
  • Ability to travel is required domestically and internationally up to 30%. Must have or be willing to obtain a valid US Passport.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 – 6 years or greater experience working in aerospace MRO overhaul and repair, or production assembly of turbine engines.
  • GTF Engine assembly experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or training a plus.
  • Candidate presently has a valid US Passport

Education:
  • BS in Engineering related field required.
  • MS Engineering or MBA a plus
