Reporting to the In-Year Planning Manager (US), support and coordinate the maintenance of Global Procurement business planning policies and support the In-Year Planning Manager with the management and issue resolution of resource allocation, ensuring procurement services are delivered effectively and efficiently to expected service levels, service improvements and cost savings.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Support and coordinate the maintenance of Global Procurement business planning policies and support the In-Year Planning Manager with the management and issue resolution of resource allocation, ensuring procurement services are delivered effectively and efficiently to expected service levels, service improvements and cost savings. Support the Global Procurement function to continually deliver great performance through business planning as well as provision management. Work with Category teams to identify and anticipate peaks and troughs of activity before they happen, ensuring that a dynamic resource plan is put in place that meets the needs to of the business in-line with agreed processes and methodologies. Support the development, management and monitoring of business plans to facilitate its delivery and ensure that it continually evolves such that Global Procurement is providing the optimum level of service to the National Grid business. Take a lead role in analysing and interpreting workload volumes, working with Category teams to accurately forecast future demand and ensuring the pool of buyers is flexed in line with business and functional needs. Work closely with colleagues across Global Procurement, and as required the wider National Grid business, to develop integrated business plans that drive performance. Support the Director of Business Planning and In-Year Planning Managers in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement through effective business planning and provision management. Co-ordinate the delivery of key service delivery activities to ensure that a consistent approach is taken, resources are used efficiently and that there is alignment with operational plans and service standards.
Qualifications Knowledge & Experience Required: Experience translating long-term strategies into operating plans (including developing KPIs, resource allocation, etc.). Experience managing flexible pools of resource. Project Management experience. Bachelor degree or equivalent.
