Engine & Environmental Control Systems (E&ECS) provides complete jet engine controls and accessory packages. From the fuel tank to the igniters, we have the resources and expertise to design, qualify, and manufacture first in class central systems for our aerospace engine customers.

E&ECS is looking for an Operational Engine Project Leadto join our team.

The candidate will be joining the Fuel Metering and Hydro-mechanical Product Line’s Project Engineering group and will be the lead project engineer for Operational Commercial and Military Engine programs. With 27 products in service on 10 engine programs the candidate will be the lead engineer on all field investigations and product improvements. The role is critical to ensuring the safe operation of the fleet and the satisfaction of our engine, airline and military customers across the globe

  • In this role you will:
    • Coordinate all necessary internal, customer and supplier interfacing activities, including:
    • Drive project execution on budget and on schedule
    • Lead and drive closure of technical investigations on in-service fuel metering and hydro-mechanical components
    • Supervise testing of hardware in support of root cause investigations
    • Create and deliver technical presentations to UTAS senior management and senior customer representatives
    • Coordinate all Engineering Change activities
  • The Project Lead shall be responsible for:
    • All engineering activities related to in-service Fuel Metering and Hydro-mechanical components
Basic working knowledge of hydraulic control systems is required; experience with fuel controls is desired. Must have the ability to engineering principals to analyze hardware, recommend corrective action, conduct engineering investigations and develop/conduct tests. Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary along with the ability to work in a team environment. Experience in working and leading product development teams, creating project plans, performing risk assessment and working resource plans is necessary for successful program execution.

Bachelor of Science in Engineering
At least 8+ years of experience
Education Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
