Pratt & Whitney (P&W) Military Engines (ME) is seeking an experienced Logistics Program Management (LPM) Discipline Chief to provide strategic leadership across the ME LPM value stream.

This individual will be working directly with senior leadership as well as the program and support teams to define and improve LPM skills, processes and tools. They will serve as the resident expert to all LPM programs and work to improve LPM productivity and program performance. This new role is vital to support the rapidly expanding LPM business and ensure full Department of Defense (DoD) compliance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serving as the subject matter expert for the ME LPM processes
  • Defining and implementing a strategy to ensure that robust LPM processes and methods are advantageous to DoD and customer requirements
  • Working with the other ME discipline chiefs to leverage collective expertise to improve LPM processes relative to efficiency and effectiveness
  • Integrating and improving core LPM tools, processes, standard work, best practices, and lessons learned across the value stream
  • Defining core skill set and proficiency levels for LPM professionals
  • Defining key LPM metrics tied to critical value stream processes and deliverables
  • Creating practitioner training curriculum and proficiency assessment ratings
  • Assisting in the resolution of critical LPM process-related issues that directly impact business metrics (quality, cost, delivery/TAT, CPAR, etc.)
  • Providing guidance and mentoring of LPM professionals
  • Facilitating alignment of ME Discipline Chiefs and key functional groups relative to LPM processes and enterprise-wide LPM tools
  • Participating on ACE council and leading events related to improving the LPM processes across the value stream
  • Driving continuous improvement through the use of ACE Operating System
