Founded in 1987, RAND Engineering & Architecture, DPC is a 90-person Manhattan-based firm that designs, specifies, and administers restoration, upgrade, and adaptive re-use programs on behalf of owners, managers, and co-op and condo boards.

We are currently seeking a Mechanical/Energy Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and participate in implementing building upgrades as part of energy performance contracting projects
  • Define project scope and perform project estimate
  • Conduct Energy audits
  • Lead retro-commissioning of multi-family residential and commercial buildings
  • Perform all calculations required for ECM’s
  • Manage implementation of ECM’s
  • Ensure performance with local code standards
  • Prepare technical site visits and progress reports
  • Prepare construction drawings in CAD
  • Coordinate and oversee project execution
  • Liaise between client and contractor

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Experience with NYSERDA’s Multifamily Performance Program and Con Edison’s energy efficiency programs preferred
  • Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), certified by the Building Commissioning Association (BCA)
  • Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP), certified by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE)
  • Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP), certified by ASHRAE
  • Accredited Commissioning Process Authority Professional (ACPAP), approved by the University of Wisconsin
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to interact with clients are essential.
  • A New York State PE or RA license is a plus, as is LEED AP certification.
