The Enterprise Capacity & Materials Planning Strategy (ECMPS) team within Pratt & Whitney (P&W) is a rapidly growing organization established to assess the demand and output capacity of the entire P&W operations and supply chain network. Major functions of the ECMPS organization are Demand & Supply Management, Network Capacity, Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SI&OP) and Master Scheduling.

The Supply Planning organization is seeking an analytical, results-driven individual to execute materials planning processes across multiple value streams with a focus on internal shop execution. The successful candidate is customer-focused and motivated to work in a dynamic and highly interactive work environment that connects the P&W value stream.

The Materials Planning Analyst is a key role within the value stream and ECMPS that maintains systems to ensure schedule accuracy and enable schedule stability. Responsibilities include:

  • Execute materials processes supporting shop delivery and scheduling as well as inventory control including:
    • Schedule management.
    • Inventory management.
    • Evaluate capacity, machine/tooling downtime, etc.
    • Inventory input control.
    • Lead time management through lead time breaks.
    • Inventory buffering.
    • Conversion of planned orders to production orders.
    • Engineering change incorporation.
    • Takted deliveries.
  • Execute the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) (system planning parameters, physical part parameters, takted delivery expectations) and adherence to material replenishment expectations, including existing MMAS & ECMPS policies and procedures.
  • Execute timely and accurate implementation of material master changes.
  • Execute takted material plans to support detailed production schedules and maintain inventory control.
  • Support inventory initiative teams focused on the improvement of inventory management processes.
  • Support annual MMAS audits.
  • Co-lead or support various strategic initiatives associated with material planning processes & systems.
