Qualification: Education: BS degree w/4-7 years’ experience
Preferred Education: Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics Bachelors / Masters degrees preferred. Additional training in systems engineering, remote sensing systems and domains desired.
*Experience / Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP highly desired.
  • Experience with mechanical assembly processes, and Electrical system / PCBA troubleshooting is strongly preferred.
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with MS Project and CATIA is a plus.
  • Selected candidate must display leadership qualities with willingness to provide consultative input and guidance to junior peers.
  • Selected candidate must foster a collaborative teamwork environment where all team members are able to participate in CI (Continuous Improvement) utilizing the tools on a daily basis.
  • All candidates must be a US Citizen or current Green Card holder.

Education: The Manufacturing Engineer will work on the shop floor in a production environment and be responsible for developing documentation, procedures, and tooling philosophies to support the manufacture of aerospace hardware. He/she will strive to continually improve quality, producibility, and on-time delivery for the products and processes with an emphasis on long term manufacturing. He/she will provide technical support for safety and ergonomic requirements. Create performance metrics. Deal with technical problems of moderate to complex scope with minimal supervision. Provide guidance to others, planning of layout for part fabrication and materials handling, adaptation of machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions, and planning of operations and specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment, as well as other functions that affect product performance. This candidate will also be the Value Stream focal for coordinating related tasks (repair planning, sequence of operations, tooling support, etc) to support the flow of non-conforming product through the Quality Notification process as part of a co-located MRB team. Duties/Responsibilities include:
  • Trouble shoot product issues in real time
    • Lean Factory and Cell Design
  • Perform cell designs of new cells and redesigns of old cell to optimize for linkage and flow
  • Look for cost reduction and schedule reduction opportunities in production line and put together plans to realize savings
    • Manage New Product Introductions to the production floor
    • Process Planning and Tech Data
  • Develop routings and work instructions for product build for operators
  • Identify tooling requirements for the cell
  • Identify equipment requirements for the cell
  • Identify test methodology for production line
  • Liaison between production and engineering, help translate engineering drawings into a manufacturable product.
    • Equipment Management
  • Develop TPM and PM plan to ensure equipment is up and running for production.
    • Other duties as assigned
