Pratt & Whitney's aftermarket Engine Services organization is seeking a fleet manager (FM) to join our team. Pratt & Whitney is undergoing significant growth and is poised to be a leader in commercial engine sales and engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) Maintenance Repair & Overhaul activities. Our fleet managers are on the front line of aftermarket business opportunities and play a key role in driving the Company’s profitability.

The Fleet Management group manages long-term engine maintenance agreements with commercial airline customers. The combined size of our business portfolio of contracts is over $30B in lifetime sales. Contractual services include engine overhaul and repair, on-wing and off-wing maintenance planning, coordination of on-wing services, engine health monitoring and logistical support.

Fleet managers oversee and own a piece of our business portfolio and focus on two key functions: (1) working with airline customers to deliver contract services and ensure reliable operations and (2) proposing and executing strategies for optimizing the profitability of assigned contracts.

Fleet managers also work directly with airlines in a customer-facing capacity to seamlessly deliver contracted engine services and ensure reliable engine operations. Of paramount importance is maintaining timely and accurate engine removal forecasts, scheduling customer engines for required maintenance and coordinating work with engine center network shops and Engine Services technical teams to manage the maintenance work scope and cost of each engine shop visit.

Lastly, the selected candidate must utilize strong business acumen to lead teams of analysts who perform technical evaluations in addition to financial and data analyses. This responsibility includes owning the financial management of assigned contracts including oversight of the annual contract valuation process, recommending and implementing profitability enhancement initiatives and supporting new sales and restructuring campaigns.
Qualifications Required Qualifications

Strong communication, influencing, presentation and data management/analysis skills

A demonstrated ability to effectively team across functions to accomplish shared goals

Strong leadership skills coupled with a history of attaining results through influence and collaboration

Prior application of continuous improvement methodologies/tools/practices in former positions held

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated aptitude with respect to financial analysis/management and/or contracts/contract management

A fundamental understanding of gas turbine engines, airline operations and engine maintenance practices

Prior customer-facing work experience in a technical or business role
Education Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or business field of study with 6-10+ years of relevant work experience

Master's degree in a STEM or business field of study with 4-7+ years of relevant work experience

Doctoral degree in a STEM or business field of study with 2-4+ years of relevant work experience
