Description: Description About the Position:
The Program Manager of the Gas Construction Reimbursable process is responsible for the operational efficiency and excellence of select portfolios of work within the Gas Transmission and Distribution Processes. As the Program Manager, you will develop reimbursable strategies and implement those processes to meet the regulatory, budgetary, and jurisdictional goals of the NYC Reimbursable gas portfolio. The Program Manager is expected to work in collaboration with other company organizations, (Gas Engineering –Public Works, Government Relations,…) to build internal and external relationships (NYC DEP / NYC DDP) to improve customer satisfaction while providing visibility to the work plans. Have the lead responsibility with the NYC DDC and DEP to develop stream-lined processes such that invoices are processes as expedicuously as possible. Manage an organization of Analysts and Sr. Analysts to develop project reimbursement invoices.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Manage the Reimbursable team to ensure timely recovery of project costs Promote teamwork and collaboration within CSC organization and Reimbursement Team. Effectively support other Program Managers and PEX initiatives as required. Track, report, and forecast financials and milestones each month. Keep internal and external departments informed of requirements and schedules using appropriate communication methods. Prepare required documentation, forms, and reports relating to reimbursable activities between municipal authorities and National Grid on assigned projects. Challenge existing processes and continuously seek ways to do things better in order to drive greater efficiencies for the business. Monitor and support the billing process. Collect internal certifications for final invoice delivery.


Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree; Accounting, Finance, Engineering or Business Management discipline preferred Managerial and Project Management experience preferred. Proficient in project and work management software. Familiar with gas construction design, gas engineering cods and standards, permitting, construction, and closeout activities. Knowledge of National Grid’s business operations, company policies and practices. Understanding of jurisdictional process and regulations. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and issues simultaneously. Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate sound judgment to independently solve problems and resolve conflicts. Ability to travel to the assigned division(s) as required.
