This individual will work closely with Operations Engineers, Maintenance Team Lead, and other O&M Maintenance Planners as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for maintenance work orders and associated job plans. Individual is responsible for the creation of thorough and detailed work packages for scheduling and execution, using in-house maintenance crews and/or service contractors, to ensure equipment and systems run properly and minimize impact on programs due to unplanned outages/shutdowns using IBM Maximo software.

Responsible for the development of work packages including field scoping of the work, detailed job plans, evaluating the need for and ordering replacement parts, and ensuring accuracy and consistency of information in the job plan using a Master Equipment List. Additional responsibilities may include transitioning assets from completed projects into O&M environment ? new, replaced, and removed, and formalizing and ensuring accuracy and consistency of Service Level Agreements for Tenant owned equipment supported by Maintenance.

Required:



+ High School diploma or GED certificate
+ Five years or more experience in a maintenance trade ? electrical or HVAC preferred
+ Knowledge of facilities engineering, operations, and maintenance best practices.
+ Excellent oral / written communication, customer service skills and attention to detail.
+ Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to successfully plan, organize, lead, and monitor team efforts to completion.
+ Ability to work well independently and as a member of a process-driven and agile team
+ Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
+ Knowledge of and experience with a computerized maintenance management software.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy security clearance.

Desired:

+ State journeyman License and/or Associate Degree in a related field or five (5) year Approved Apprenticeship Program Certification
+ One (1) year experience with RCM work
+ Proficiency with IBM Maximo CMMS software
+ Formal Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) training

Security Clearance:


This position does not currently require a Department of Energy (DOE)-granted security clearance.

Sandia will conduct a pre-employment drug testing, and a pre-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record checks, and employment and education verifications. Further, employees in New Mexico must pass a U.S. Air Force background screen for access to the work site. Substance abuse or illegal drug use, falsification of information, criminal activity, serious misconduct or other indicators of untrustworthiness can cause access to be denied or terminated, rendering the inability to perform the duties assigned and resulting in termination of employment.
