Seeking a dedicated and talented individual to fill the role of Lead Maintenance Mechanic for our Mobile Equipment Maintenance Department. The Maintenance Department manages and executes inspections, preventative maintenance activities, routine repairs and unplanned repairs to our fleet of Mobile and Stationary Equipment. As Lead Maintenance Mechanic, the selected candidate would be responsible to lead a staff of (6) six Mechanics. In addition to working on the fleet of equipment, daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead the Shop’s Safety Program though daily safety reviews and weekly safety tailgate meetings
  • Communicate with Operations staff on equipment repair needs and manage repairs to completion
  • Assign Work Orders to the Maintenance staff and follow-up on progress, challenges, questions, close-out, etc.
  • Review and manage spare parts and consumable inventories to ensure adequate supplies are on hand at all times to support the on-going PM’s and repairs
  • Oversee and manage the productivity of the Maintenance staff to ensure repairs are completed in a safe and timely manner, and
  • Maintain continual and open lines of communication with the Maintenance Manager.


To be considered for this position, you must have a High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution and demonstrated experience with heavy industrial equipment.  Qualified candidates must have at least five (5) years of experience with the repair of industrial mobile equipment and diesel engines.  Experience as a Supervisor or Lead Mechanic is desired. 

Desired skills and abilities include:

  • Management of staff of mechanics
  • Inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel and gas powered Mobile Equipment and Industrial Equipment
  • Inspection, troubleshooting and repair of heavy duty truck air brake systems
  • Repair and troubleshooting of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
  • Repair and troubleshooting of HVAC systems
  • Ability to secure ASE certification for air brake repairs.
