This position can be located in Waltham. Support the Director in analyzing all health and welfare benefits including ancillary benefits and voluntary benefits activities to provide relevant and up to date information to support decision-making and positively impact business operations, including support for all aspects of compliance including tracking and reporting. Directly support business functions and HR during key benefits touch points such as open enrollment or new hire processing. Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Manage the U.S. annual Benefits open enrollment cycle and work closely with other members of the Benefits team to ensure consistency and adherence to corporate governance. Provide support in assessing market budget and range movement data and to help ensure the desired competitive market position is maintained. Assist in managing annual benefits surveys; help gather and assimilate data and ensure timely submissions. Assist in the preparation of benefits communication material for the purpose of educating, sharing information, marketing ideas, influencing and change management. Provide tier 3 and 4 guidance as needed to the Shared Services SDC Employee Services area on benefits policies and interpretations. Provide support in working with the Data & Analytics COE to produce a variety of total rewards data analyses, program usage, and effectiveness reviews. Support the compilation of due diligence data in support of merger and acquisition initiatives. Responsible for the management of the day to day relationship with vendors, insurance carriers, or external service providers. Understand analytical systems, models and procedures in order to support design solutions and enhance consistency and efficiency and operability. Support various contract negotiations with collective bargaining units in relation to benefits plans to ensure the consistent application of policy across bargaining units. Respond to inquiries and escalate as needed.
Qualifications Knowledge & Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of 7 years of experience in Health and Welfare programs with specific concentration in carve-out prescription drug programs,self Insured Plan funding arrangements,ASO contracting and compliance experience in a corporate or legal setting. Advanced degree/credits is preferred. Expert knowledge of industry practice, trends and legislation (ERISA, Health Care Reform, Internal Revenue Code, SEC Disclosure Rules and Federal/State labor laws). Knowledge of benefit programs with experience in the development, design and implementation of benefit programs. Strong analytical skills; must be able to provide timely and accurate interpretation of benefit plan cost analyses. Knowledge of Request for Proposal design based on business needs and industry best practice. Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) as well as HR database platform software (SAP).
