Position Summary:

Pentair is currently seeking an Application Director who will be responsible for converting Pentair Waters’ business needs into process and technology solutions collaborating with multiple business functions. This role will require the ability to work concurrently on multiple small/medium scale or portions of larger scale projects while interfacing across all functions within the organization as well as global units distributed in Europe, Latin America and Asia. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Application Portfolio (identifying and rectifying security issues, maintaining patches and updates and developing roadmaps).

  • Staff, direct and develop team members in alignment with company priorities to provide high quality application solutions.

  • Drive key initiatives with core applications (CRM, PLM, CMS, Doc Mgmt).

  • Work with Business / Data Owners with SANs Controls.

  • Organize and run monthly application governance meetings with business owners.

  • Translate needs into thoughtful and creative IT solutions that can drive sustainable business benefits.

  • Establish and manage cross-partner communication, inclusive of but not limited to technology, business partners, vendors, and internal development teams.

  • Understand the complexity and challenges in working across global teams with multiple business partners while insuring adequate support for all systems and clients.

  • Support the research, analysis and development of new business processes, resulting in a set of recommendations for process change, and/or systems development projects.

  • Understand the business to ensure strong service levels and satisfaction.

  • Build or bring subject matter expertise to own area of responsibility.

  • Analyze business needs.

  • Translate business needs into information systems requirements. Document Business Specifications to document the requests to Pentair 3D standards.

  • Communicate project objectives, progress and status to all levels of the organization.

  • Develop current and future state process maps utilizing Lean methodology. Facilitate process mapping exercises; work with project team members to ensure successful completion of process and requirements definition.

  • Assist in developing project plans, obtaining business approvals, risk assessment analysis, implementation of changes, and overall project management to ensure goals are accomplished within prescribed time frame and cost.

  • Partner with teams to operate effectively in a collaborative environment sharing resources and skills.

  • Participate in cross-functional projects, enhancements, and testing, assuring any process or system changes function correctly and accurately through all Finance processes/modules.


Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in Information Systems or related field and/or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years’ experience in a business/process analysis role is required

  • Strong systems knowledge along with knowledge of IT standards and methodologies.

  • Working knowledge of process modeling methodologies and tools is required

  • Working knowledge of data privacy is preferred

  • Skills in proactive problem prevention and resolution and anticipates potential problems or short comings in systems design or business processes.

  • Ability to understand cross-functional interdependencies and devise solutions to meet broad corporate needs.
