DESCRIPTION
We have an excellent opportunity for an Intrusion & Monitoring Engineering Manager for our Intrusion & Monitoring Solutions business in Costa Mesa, CA. The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills to execute on product releases as identified by the business. The candidate must be able to operate in a matrix organization, working with product managers to define specifications and articulating them into program objectives. Tactically, the successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the internal team and/or partners to design, test, qualify, and release products and features to our customers while maintaining schedule, performance, and budget objectives.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage engineering product development for Intrusion & Monitoring across global engineering centers.
  • Responsible for entire systems, projects, programs or operational unit across or within functional areas
  • Develop, collaborate and drive engineering standards
  • Applies expert knowledge that extends across multiple disciplines
  • Accountable for budget, staffing, and/or business/operational results
  • Key communicator of business goals to Project Team, and sets Team performance commitments to those goals.
  • Develops and monitors key product, program, and business measures. Agrees on goals and allowable variances on these goals, with the business leaders and communicates progress.
Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have software, hardware and systems engineering experience.
  • Must be self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Troubleshoots effectively using reading, probing, analyzing, and interpreting skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to customers and peers.
  • Enjoys helping customers use software tools to find solutions to business problems.
  • Both people and results oriented. Able to inspire trust.
  • Experience with a variety of development processes, methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in assessing priority and severity of issues.
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Able to manage a variety of customer situations.
  • Strong familiarity with configuration management tools and defect management tools.
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based operating systems and elements.
Education EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS degree w/10+ years experience
  • MA/MS degree w/7+ years experience
