Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Proactive development and implementation of enhancements, strategies, processes, standard work and jurisdiction and classification (J/C) guidance to ensure Military Engines ongoing compliance with all export laws, regulations and UTC/P&W policies related to the export of technical data, commodities (including products and parts), software, and services.
  • Design and lead process improvement activities in the areas of jurisdiction and classification (J/C) and ITC Focal training as implemented in Military Engines.
  • Interact with P&W ITC Legal and other P&W organizations to understand P&W’s products, technology, software, and services (including third party items) and to assist Military Engines with the implementation of ITC compliance requirements in the areas of J/C and export authority.
  • Support development and delivery of formal and informal J/C Focal training. This requires a demonstrated technical knowledge of the items that P&W uses or produces and to facilitate regulatory analyses to determine the appropriate J/C and export authority for each item.
  • Provide Military Engines customers day-to-day guidance in this and other trade compliance subject matter areas.
  • Work with other Technology Managers and business unit ITC managers to help develop, implement, and manage tailored trade compliance IT systems, processes, and procedures and identify and mitigate compliance risks throughout the Military Engines business unit and the P&W enterprise.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and management of export compliance systems, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and export regulations. This includes contributing to the identification of compliance risks, conducting risk assessments, and assisting with the development of plans to eliminate and/or mitigate risks.
  • Participate in Pratt & Whitney ITC activities including: audits, internal investigations, corrective actions, communications, training, and implementation of key policies and procedures.

Represent Military Engines ITC, as required, in ITC Initiatives led by ITC-Legal organization and ensure that business unit needs and requirements are sufficiently addressed in these initiatives and process improvement projects.
