We are seeking an Intern Year Round \- Clerical Union Undergrad



On any given day, you may be called on to:



+ Work in an office environment

+ Display excellent communication skills

+ Work in a team

+ Prepare, manage, and/or file documents

+ Record meeting minutes/notes

+ Make copies

+ Order supplies

+ Assist with managing calendars

+ Submit/manage help requests \(facilities, computer, etc\.\)

+ Support multiple managers/staff members in a clerical role

+ Conduct other tasks to provide clerical support

+ Manage SharePoint Sites

+ Fleet vehicle management



Required:



You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:



+ Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program

+ Minimum cumulative GPA of 2\.5/4\.0

+ Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer

+ U\.S\. citizenship



As a condition of employment, the selected candidate will be represented by the Office and Professional Employees International Union \(OPEIU\), which requires monthly membership dues or agency fees\. New hires into an OPEIU represented position will remain in the initial position for twelve \(12\) months before being eligible to be considered for other Sandia employment\.

Department Description:



The Sensors and Embedded Systems Department \(2623\) is multi\-discipline, product\-focused organization that provides engineering research, design, development, integration, testing, demonstration, and field support to a wide range of sensor, communication and network, signal processing, and embedded systems applications with an emphasis on low power and harsh environment reliable and robust operation\. Examples of these applications include high consequence military, space\-flight payloads, and national security\. The department is within the Engineering and Design Integration Center \(2600\) which has three main competencies: Advanced Mechanical Systems, Sensor and Fuze Engineering, and Telemetry and Software Systems\.

Security Clearance:



Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\) granted Q\-level security clearance\.



Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre\-employment drug testing, and a pre\-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications\.
