Pratt and Whitney is home to a world-class Survivability department. Team members often work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and interact with numerous other disciplines at Pratt and Whitney. We’re seeking an intern to join our team for the summer of 2017.

The Survivability team works on a diverse array of products, and the prospective intern should be prepared to their learnings in unique and creative ways. Your internship will pair you with several Survivability team members and will require you to complete one or more tasks over the course of the summer, depending on your skillset. Ideal candidates will have taken course work and shown interest in physics, electromagnetic theory, heat transfer, propulsion, computational finite element modeling, or model development (e.g., NX). Candidates should be self-starters. Although not immediately required, candidates should be capable of ultimately obtaining a secret clearance.
Qualifications Candidate should have experience or applicable course work with electromagnetic theory, heat transfer, propulsion, computational finite element modeling, or NX. Candidate must also posses:
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills
  • Willingness to work independently or with teams.
  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance.
  • US Citizenship required
Education At least one year of college experience in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineering, or Physics is required.
