We are seeking an Intern Year Round - Clerical Union Undergrad

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Support department projects including development and maintenance of department's collaborative spaces (Confluence Wiki, model repositories)
+ Maintain department webpage
+ Conduct data entry
+ Assist with general administrative duties
+ Support document preparation, filing, and making copies
+ Creating posters and displays

Required:



You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

+ Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program
+ Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5/4.0
+ Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
+ U.S. citizenship

As a condition of employment, the selected candidate will be represented by the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), which requires monthly membership dues or agency fees. New hires into an OPEIU represented position will remain in the initial position for twelve (12) months before being eligible to be considered for other Sandia employment.

Additional Requirements:

+ Experience developing and maintaining wiki's and webpages
+ Experience developing posters and displays

Desired:

+ Familiarity with Atlassian's Confluence Wiki and Jira
+ Experience with Git version control system
+ Experience using GitLab, GitHub, Teamforge, or Trac



The Aerospace Systems Analysis Department provides applied aerodynamics and flight dynamics analysis, trajectory simulations, range safety analysis, range operations support, and mechanical design for a wide range of flight systems that fly in the subsonic through hypersonic regimes. The Department also explores advanced concepts for new military and non-military applications of flight systems. Our staff members are integral flight test project team members active in all aspects of vehicle design, mission planning, and post-test analysis. Our primary mission supports U.S. Department of Energy defense programs, and aerospace flight systems projects funded through the U.S. Department of Defense, DARPA, NASA, and industry.

Security Clearance:


Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE)-granted L-level security clearance.

Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug testing, and a pre-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications.
