We are seeking an Intern Year Round - Clerical Union Undergrad

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Prepare, format and edit documents
+ File documents and records
+ Make domestic and foreign travel arrangements for the managers and staff
+ Coordinate and scheduling meetings
+ Handle telephone communications
+ Maintain calenders
+ Support incoming/outgoing visit requests
+ Manage/order office equipment and office supplies
+ Escort uncleared visitors


You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

+ Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program
+ Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.45/4.0
+ Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
+ U.S. citizenship

As a condition of employment, the selected candidate must become a member of the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), which requires monthly membership dues or agency fees.


+ Familiarity with MS Office (specifically MS Outlook)
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and macOS
+ Strong written and verbal skills
+ Existing clearance

The Advanced Software Engineering (ASE) Organization is a highly integrated team of departments focused on delivering software and system solutions that impact Sandia's mission-critical programs. Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE)-granted L-level security clearance.

Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug testing, and a pre-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications.
