We are seeking an Intelligence and Counterintelligence Analyst to be responsible for assessments and analysis which guide or support the operational and investigative aspects of the Counterintelligence Program\. The successful candidate will be part of a highly motivated and cohesive team\. The candidate will eventually be responsible for independently conducting interviews, performing research, and generating written reports according to intelligence community analytic standards\. The candidate must be able to work independently, as well as be able to work effectively with the team\.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Plan, organize, and conduct analyses or investigations using technical assessments and analysis, interviews, briefings, research, and interactions with other Sandia National Laboratories' \(SNL\) organizations or customers to identify, define and mitigate the threat to Sandia, the Department of Energy \(DOE\) and the United States from foreign entities\.

+ Collaborate and consult with counterparts at DOE HQ, the FBI and the US Intelligence Community \(USIC\)\.

+ Work closely with the local FBI and other local Intelligence Community partners on evolving threats at the Lab, as well as on assessments relevant to SNL, DOE and USIC\.

+ Author a variety of analytic and counterintelligence products\.

+ Participate in briefing SNL employees who have had interactions with foreign entities, either domestically or overseas\.

+ Be responsible for developing productive, cordial relationships with members of the SNL workforce in order to protect the Lab's equities\.

+ Be actively involved in the development, implementation, and continued improvement of the CI Awareness Program for all members of the workforce\.


+ Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline plus five or more years of experience; or master's degree in relevant discipline plus two or more years of experience\.

+ Five years of formal analytic work experience related to Counterintelligence, Counterterrorism, Counterproliferation, and/or Technical Assessment issues\.

+ Experience working in a sensitive, classified environment and with Federal Law Enforcement, Intelligence Community members, and/or the Department of Energy\.


+ Experience conducting technical STEM\-related analysis\.

+ Successful completion of a certified federal counterintelligence analyst training course or equivalent on the job analytic experience\.

+ Familiarity with cyber security concepts and techniques, and counterintelligence threat analysis\.

+ Proven track record of substantial research and writing for a variety of Intelligence Community products\.

+ Significant experience in interview techniques and demonstrated proficiency with both oral and written communications\.

+ Computer skills including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of programs, secure data bases, generating presentations, and e\-mail applications\.

+ Active DOE/DOD security clearance\.

Sandia National Laboratories \(SNL\) Office of Counterintelligence \(OCI\) is responsible for managing all counterintelligence\-related activities at the Laboratories, both in New Mexico and California, on behalf of the U\.S\. Security Clearance:

Position requires a SCI security clearance\.

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\) granted Q\-level security clearance and SCI clearance, which may require a polygraph test\.

Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre\-employment drug testing, and a pre\-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications\. Applicants for employment must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q\-level security clearance, which requires U\.S\. citizenship and SCI clearance, which may require a polygraph test\.
