We are seeking an experienced Information Management Professional for the B61\-12 Communications Team\. The B61\-12 communications team is a strong team of customer oriented staff members who can benefit from an experienced IM with a broad knowledge of SharePoint, EIMS, FileNet, PDMLink, SCN, ESN and ECN systems operating in Nuclear Weapons\.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Perform the normal range of IM duties, along with advanced information tasks on both the unclassified and classified systems\.

+ Provide assistance to customers of information management services with documentation, action item tracking, meeting organization, meeting minutes, high\-level visits, and assuring that meeting material is properly archived\.


+ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Tech Writing, Management Information System, Business, Engineering, or Science discipline plus five years of experience in managing information; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience\.

+ Experience creating and maintaining SharePoint sites or other similar sites\.

+ Active and ability to maintain a required US DOE L security clearance\.

+ Ability to obtain and maintain a required US DOE Q security clearance and Sigma 15\.


+ Ability to train users in the use of software applications, providing guidance and assistance with new or amended information management policies/procedures\.

+ Demonstrated knowledge or experience of weaving together practice and theory of managing information technology\.

+ Experience with problem identification and resolution implementation leveraging IT techniques\.

+ Excellent computer, writing, customer service, and data analysis skills\.

+ Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite\.

+ Considerable knowledge or experience with various databases\(SQL, ARES, DOORS, PDMLink, etc\.\)

+ Strong ability to incorporate mission needs into information management solutions\.

+ Demonstrate analytical and project management ability and attention to detail\.

+ Understanding of Sandia's information and operating environment\.

+ Ability to team with all levels of staff and management in varying work environments\.

+ Ability to work and deal effectively with others; tact and the ability and attention to detail\.

Department Description:

Provides information management and technical writing support to the B61\-12 LEP, W88 ALT 370, and Mk21 AFA engineering teams\. Department members serve as the creators and gatekeepers of documentation needed to meet nuclear weapon, customer, quality engineering, and legacy requirements\. Information managers use multiple tools, methods, and repositories to regulate the flow and integrity of information created and distributed in support of program needs\. Technical writers research, write, and edit documentation ranging from complex documents and reports to manuals and other materials\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\)\-granted L\-level security clearance to start\.

Position requires an active Department of Energy \(DOE\) granted L\-level security clearance or active clearance with another US government agency, e\.g\., DOD, to be considered for this position\.

Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre\-employment drug testing, and a pre\-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications\.
