Job Title:Human Resources Support (Experienced)

As a member of the Sandia Student Intern Team, you will provide assistance and support for activities related to Sandia's Livermore, Student Programs function. If you have a track record of delivering quality customer service, are successful with juggling multiple tasks simultaneously and enjoy projects, then this role may be a fit for you.

Responsibilities:

- Open intern jobs and process hiring requests

- Prepare and send offer documentation

- Coordinate the on-boarding of new employees

- Prepare reports and participate on projects

- Coordinate events and presentations

This is a limited term assignment. These assignments are typically for up to a one-year period, with the option to extend for up to six additional years at the manager's discretion.

Required:



Proven ability to team and collaborate, problem-solve, take the initiative, and juggle multiple priorities. Proven ability to leverage reports and data from systems, with strong attention to detail. Intermediate to advanced capability with Microsoft office business applications, including Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information.

Desired:

Human Resources experience. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources (or a related field).



The CA Site Human Resources (HR) Department provides a broad spectrum of HR services to the CA site, including performance management, compensation planning, workforce planning, staffing, workforce analytics, employee relations, education, and training & development.

Security Clearance:


This position does not currently require a Department of Energy (DOE)-granted security clearance.

Sandia will conduct a pre-employment drug testing, and a pre-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record checks, and employment and education verifications. Further, employees in New Mexico must pass a U.S. Air Force background screen for access to the work site. Substance abuse or illegal drug use, falsification of information, criminal activity, serious misconduct or other indicators of untrustworthiness can cause access to be denied or terminated, rendering the inability to perform the duties assigned and resulting in termination of employment.

If hired without a clearance, and one subsequently becomes required or you bid on positions that require a DOE-granted security clearance, a pre-processing background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications may be conducted prior to a required federal background investigation.
