We are seeking Human Resources Support for The Represented Hiring and Employment Testing \(RHET\) team\. The Represented Hiring and Employment Testing \(RHET\) team administers the hiring process for all represented positions\. They also administer testing for all positions at Sandia that require testing, both internal and external\. The team works closely with applicants, hiring managers, and administrative support to ensure people are hired quickly and efficiently\.



On any given day, you may be called on to:



+ Pre\-screen applicants for eligibility, overseeing the pre\-employment testing process, ensuring adherence to Sandia's collective bargaining agreements, confirmation of pre\-employment offer contingencies such as official transcripts, favorable drug screen, and pre\-employment background documentation\.

+ Enter, verify, and manage data in Sandia's Talent Acquisition Management System, PeopleSoft\.



Required:



High school diploma or equivalent\.



Desired:



+ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook, and have exceptional interpersonal and teaming skills as well as superior oral and written communication skills\.

+ Candidate must be able to demonstrate a proven ability to work in a fast\-paced high\-volume customer service role while maintaining an extraordinary level of attention to detail\.

+ High school diploma plus three or more years of directly related experience

+ Experience in Human Resources such as processing hiring actions, handling of offer contingencies, verification of transcripts or certifications, application of collective bargaining agreement terms, and managing sensitive human resources information/files is highly desired\.

+ Experience with PeopleSoft and pre\-employment testing are also highly desired\.

+ Ability to identify and resolve routine problems and assist in making recommendations\.



Department Description:



The Employee and Labor Relations \(ELR\) Department represents Sandia in all matters related to negotiating and administering the collective bargaining agreements with the three bargaining units \(MTC, OPEIU, SPA\) representing employees performing work at Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico, and serves as a corporate resource in the analysis, development, and administration of employee relations policies \(discipline, dispute resolution, actions plans for improved performance, loss of security clearances, etc\.\) in conformance with employment law, DOE regulations, Lockheed Martin policies, and Sandia policies, processes and procedures\. The Department reports to the Director of Human Resources and is specifically responsible in Labor Relations for negotiating contracts; responding to formal grievances; representing the Laboratories in proceedings including arbitrations, National Labor Relations Board responses, and in litigation; and in providing labor relations training for supervisors\. Employee Relations responsibilities include support of the Corporate Review Committee and consultation with management to ensure administration of firm, fair, and consistent discipline; and require partnership and collaboration with subject matter experts in core HR functions and with HR Business Partners across the Laboratories\.

Security Clearance:



Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\)\-granted L\-level security clearance\.



Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre\-employment drug testing, and a pre\-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications\. Applicants for employment must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L\-level security clearance, which requires U\.S\. citizenship\.



Applicants offered employment with Sandia are subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance\. This Limited Term Employee \(LTE\) position is a temporary position for one year term, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to a maximum of seven years\.



Individuals in LTE positions may bid on regular Sandia positions as internal candidates, and in some cases may be converted to regular career positions during their term if warranted by ongoing operational needs, continuing availability of funds, and satisfactory job performance\.
