An opportunity exists to join us in the role of Hadoop Technical Architect.

You should possess a high level of competency on big data infrastructure based on Hadoop ecosystem-based technologies. This person will assume a combination of responsibilities working with our customers, partners, and the digital team to resolve software issues, address questions, and guide on standard methodologies related to development and deployment of solutions.

Your Responsibilities

To be successful in this position, you should have experience in architecture design, data modeling, and execution of big data platforms and analytic applications. You will review and analyze current client’s technology infrastructure while identifying, proposing strategies, and deploying and supporting critical big data solutions. We need you to stand up and expand data as service collaboration with business partners. Identify business process transformation opportunities and develop software tools to drive efficiency in the organization. You will develop highly scalable and extensible big data platforms which enable collection, storage, modeling, and analysis of massive data sets. You are able to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical business and executive leaders.

You will participate in deep architectural discussions to build confidence and ensure customer success when building new and migrating existing applications, software and services on the platform.

Do you possess the technical experience?

  • We prefer someone who has worked with on premises big data platforms such as Hortonworks. Ideally, we you to have worked within analytic frameworks and query tools such as: Spark, Hive, HDF, HDF. Streaming data tools and techniques such as Kafka, ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) Attunity, Business Object Data Services, Informatica.
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies, Data Warehouse and DataMart design and implementation. NoSQL environments such as HBase, Phoenix.
  • Data modeling of relational and dimensional databases. Metadata management, data lineage, data governance, especially as related to Big Data. You should be familiar with Structured, Unstructured, Semi-Structured Data techniques and processes.
