The Middletown Engine Center is in search of an Operations Flow Line Manager. The individual will lead a team of cell leaders who oversee a bargaining unit workforce that executes assembly. This role is responsible for leading and managing the team in meeting all EH&S, Customer, Quality, Delivery, and Financial goals. The individual will lead by devising and executing operational strategies to process engines with the highest level of quality, health & safety of employees, and meeting hours / cost targets. This requires robust personnel training plans, production resource scheduling, quality strategies, communication plans, and specific continuous improvement initiatives to optimize product lines. Clear and crisp communication with EC leadership, peers, and subordinates. Competencies that are critical for success in this role are Customer Focus, Adaptability, Strategic Thinking, and Communication. The individual must embrace the ACE Operating System and thrive in a highly visible, dynamic setting. Responsibilities include: - Provide leadership and direction to the operations team setting both near term, and long term operational objectives. - Collaborate with support teams to establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities - Work proactively to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving product line goals. - Effectively communicate cross functional requirements to ensure smooth process flow - Hold employees accountable while maintaining a quality working relationship - Ensure World Class safety culture is maintained and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly. - Ensure full involvement in ACE continuous improvement initiatives - utilize ACE tools to improve production, performance, and reduce scrap, rework, and repair. - Control quality, productivity and process flow to meet MRP requirements while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
