We are seeking a Facilities Technologist

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Perform tasks in an Asset Identification process.
+ Participate in Operation and Maintenance (OM) Strategy, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and OM Optimization processes; Develop Maximo or Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Preventative Maintenance (PM), job plans, standard times, and frequencies for operations, predictive maintenance, and preventive maintenance tasks based on OM Strategy decisions
+ Ensure accuracy and consistency of Master Equipment List (MEL) in Maximo
+ Work closely with OM Planners, Building Operators, and Maintenance Teams for PMs and job plans
+ Apply Maximo asset numbers and tags to assets and enter all pertinent asset data into Maximo asset record
+ Identify area/site and equipment related ES&H hazards and notify Safety Plan technologist
+ Generate service requests to initiate OM analysis process for assets
+ Write PMs and job plans according to OM analysis decisions for operational, preventive and predictive tasks.
+ Develop standard times for job plans based on a combination of engineered work standards, historical data and experience
+ Review asset and work order history in support of OM analysis, RCM and OM optimization processes
+ Maintain MEL in Maximo
+ Develop Maximo Safety Plans and coordinate with Facilities ES&H Lead
+ Review craft feedback on job plans and update job plans as needed
+ Communicate job plan review decisions to Team Lead, Craft and OM Planners
+ Review Craft feedback on job plans and update job plans as needed
+ Coordinate with the OM Strategic Planner for reporting maintenance data.


+ Associate?s Degree in Engineering Technology or other relevant discipline
+ 4 years? experience in a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) environment.
+ 4 years? experience in large facilities infrastructure maintenance and operations
+ 4 years? experience using CMMS software system for asset management and work order systems
+ 2 years of Planning and Scheduling experience in maintenance related field


+ Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
+ Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills
+ Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering Technology or related field
+ Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) by the Society of Maintenance & Reliability Professionals, Certified Reliability Leader (CRL), Project Management Professional (PMP)®, or BOMA Professional
+ Certification in Commercial HVAC/R Technology, Machine Tool Technology or maintenance related field with emphasis in Electrical or Mechanical
+ Five (5) year Approved Apprenticeship Program Certification
+ Possess an active current State Journeyman License
+ Experience using Maximo software system for asset management and work order systems
+ Strong team and interpersonal skills with demonstrated success working in a multi-disciplinary team
+ Experience in Facilities Risk Management/ Root Cause Analysis

The Maintenance Planning Services Organization provides support/data to the Facilities Management and Operations Center. The maintenance planning and work control team utilizes the skills and expertise of maintenance planners to maximize craft productivity and safety. In addition, this group develops job plans, standards/estimates, and preventive maintenance procedures for Center 4800 electrical, mechanical and structural craftsmen. This group also utilizes and operates the Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE)-granted L-level security clearance.
