Pratt & Whitney, a recognized leading producer of the world's most advanced commercial and military turbine engines, is seeking talented engineers to join our Engineering and Repair Source Approval organization in an internship capacity during the summer of 2017. This internship position is based in East Hartford, Connecticut. Based on your interests and business needs, you will be assigned a position of responsibility in one or more of the following areas: Melting and ConversionCasting Forging Machining and Surface Finishing Bearing ManufacturingJoining Composite Manufacturing Chemical ProcessingCoatingsDuring your internship you will be responsible for supporting commercial and military programs to ensure supplier processes yield parts which meet design intent. This may include addressing various material and processing needs and gas turbine engine hardware and material evaluations. Specific tasks may include process review and monitoring, non-destructive inspection, destructive metallurgical testing and evaluation of engine hardware, pilot testing of chemical processes and property analysis. You will also document and analyze data/results, generate standard work, prepare reports, and generate standard work.

GPA 3.0 or betterEnrollment as a Freshman, Sophomore or Junior in an undergraduate degree program pursuing an Engineering, Technical or Business related degree/ coursework for hiring assignment.US Citizenship / Permanent Residence StatusAppropriate communication and professional behavior

Co-op experience a plus.Individual must have strong/proven Microsoft Excel,Word and Powerpoint skills, as well as, strong communication skills in dealing with various employees across the organization.Opportunity to become a Pratt and Whitney full time employee
