JOB SUMMARY:

The title Equipment Operator CMW designates employees who, under general supervision operates equipment at the landfill as required.

 

 


REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS & ENVIRONMENT:

Reports to Landfill Supervisor.

 
  

 

 


ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES:

  1. Knowledgeable of the correct technique to safely mount/start/stop equipment.
  2. Safely operates machine.
  3. Knowledgeable in all points of walk around inspection.
  4. Maintains good housekeeping before and after use.
  5. Properly re-fuels machine.
  6. Demonstrates proper speed and control when approaching slopes, and tops off all fluid levels as necessary.
  7. Demonstrates understanding of the importance of shutting down machine if problem occurs.
  8. Demonstrates understanding of vehicle capacity and vehicle stability.
  9. Demonstrate understanding of the controls and instrumentation locations associated with leachate and gas systems.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent, technical training preferred.
  2. Valid State Driver’s license.
  3. Valid State Class 2A Hoisting license.
