This is a senior level environmental consulting role providing consulting services to outside clients. This role will interact directly with clients and will be responsible for the cultivation and maintenance of strong client relationships. This position will have the responsibility to develop a portfolio of clients and staff to support their needs and their client's needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and providing technical expertise on environmental permitting and regulatory compliance projects for a variety of clients in matters related to but not limited to air, water, and waste
  • The preparation and submittal of environmental permit application packets, regulatory required reports, and compliance documentation to ensure that clients remain in compliance with all permit and regulatory requirements;
  • The completion of multi-disciplined environmental compliance audits and environmental investigations and the development of applicable corrective actions to ensure that clients remain in compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Developing new business and market opportunities with new and existing clients;
  • Interacting with the state and federal environmental agencies on behalf of the client;
  • The coordination for the disposal of waste generated at client facilities; and,
  • other duties as assigned

Position requires excellent project management skills with the ability to bring in new work while maintaining a high level of existing client satisfaction.


REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Bachelors degree or above in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Health, Safety Science, or related field

 

Experience:

 

  • A minimum of 10 years of direct experience in the realm of Environmental Consulting, Permitting, and Compliance management with significant industrial clients on complex environmental compliance and permitting projects under a variety of state and federal regulatory structures.

 

  • Experience managing multiple projects in multiple disciplines concurrently and in developing new market opportunities with new and existing clients.

 

  • Working knowledge of Federal and State Environmental Regulations, as related to air, water, land, and waste management such as: the Federal Clean Air Act (CAA) and Pennsylvania Air Pollution Control Act; Federal and State National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) programs; Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and the Superfund and Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA Tier II an Title III), Federal Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA); Federal Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC regulations); Pennsylvania Storage Tank and Spill Prevention Program; Pennsylvania Brownfields and Environmental Cleanup Program; PADEP Waste Management Program; etc.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Excellent project management, analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Proven track record of success in business development and the ability to develop new market opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Excellent oral communication skills and technical writing skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team setting
  • Possess strong attention to detail and demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Ability to train and utilize junior consulting staff
  • Ability to prepare detailed proposals, manage budgets and adhere to project time lines

Certification as applicable to specific practice areas






Other Requirements:

This position is primarily an office position; however, routine field and project site visits and off site meetings at client locations will be required. It is anticipated that this position will require the ability to travel up 25%.
