We have an immediate need for an Engineering Manager in Phoenix, AZ.


Here are the responsibilities for this position:
  • Development and training of existing and new hires in the region, manage resources internal and external assigned to projects.
  • Assigned projects develop and track project budgets and provide peer reviews on projects not directly involved with.
  • Provide and review of detailed scopes of work and ECM write up’s.
  • Support construction efforts including bidding, project start up, project close out, and as-built documentation.
  • Support sales and development representing the LWS group for RFP’s and customer meetings.
  • Supervise and direct lighting and water audits, utilizing internal and external resources.
  • Coordinate and schedule site visits with the customer and company personnel
  • Establish design criteria by identifying the customer’s needs, preferences and experiences while verifying the company’s overall development strategy
  • Collect detailed information on the existing systems and document critical performance measures (e.g., light levels, occupancy periods, GPM and functionality of the space)
  • Recommend final design based on the design criteria and performance measures
  • Analyze audits completed by third party consultants and contractors
  • Perform data entry quality control
  • Perform energy savings calculations related to lighting retrofits and lighting control systems.
  • Prepare detailed Bill of Materials and solicit bids from qualified vendors
  • Analyze bids and make recommendations to senior management
  • Prepare final reports and write-ups for customer proposal
  • Write detailed ECM descriptions and supporting attachments to be included in ESPC proposal submissions.
  • Establish measurement & verification (M&V) criteria, inducing performance variables to be verified by the ESPC project.
  • Write detailed M&V plans to be included in ESPC proposal submissions.
  • Support construction managers as needed after proposal acceptance
Qualifications
  • 5 -8 years in in the development of lighting, lighting controls energy conservation measures. LED lighting design preferred.
  • Effective writing and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to comprehend and execute basic and detailed instructions, both oral and written.
    Experience with Lighting design, control systems,
  • Experience with different types of testing equipment including flow meters, temperature.
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Word, and Excel
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Strong facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem solving skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
Education BS in Engineering preferred.
