We are seeking a Engineering Systems Integration/Implementation Professional



Perform work within a science, engineering, and policy interdisciplinary environment on projects that involve applying integrated technical/policy judgment, utilizing the scientific method to recognize and formulate problems, to collect data through observation and experimentation, and to formulate and test hypotheses about the uses and deployment of advanced concepts in support of US nonproliferation and security goals\.



On any given day, you will be tasked to:



Develop integrated curricula and associated training materials in support of funded projects, and conduct research and analysis on countries and strategic commodities of programmatic interest



Apply the analysis of international affairs, principles of foreign relations, and scientific and engineering principles in support of advanced concepts and technologies for nonproliferation, nuclear security, and international export control regimes\.



Conduct training workshops internationally and domestically to build up the capacity of selected international partners to address WMD nonproliferation challenges



The required experience for a successful candidate include experience with advanced curriculum development and conducting workshops, knowledge of sanctions enforcement and UN Security Council Resolutions, nuclear nonproliferation and WMD issues internationally, international export control regimes, trade practices, and financial transactions\. Additional required experience includes working with international multilateral organizations including preparing position papers, drafting talking points, attending and presenting at relevant international conferences and meetings, participating in developing briefing materials, and briefing policy and technical materials to domestic and foreign participants\. Candidates must also possess strong teaming skills, cultural awareness, and international training experience\.



Required:



+ Advanced degree in science, engineering, law, social sciences, or other relevant discipline

+ Demonstrated experience with curriculum development and training for international audiences

+ Strong project management experience

+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse teams and as an individual to deliver results

+ Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training curriculum in international settings



Desired:



+ Experience working in/with international multilateral organizations

+ Demonstrated cultural awareness with foreign partners, particularly in training environments

+ Ability to assist in writing funding proposals

+ Experience with proliferation finance and/or sanctions evasion

+ Knowledge of project management

+ Ability to travel internationally in support of programs

+ SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint literacy

The mission of Global Security Research and Analysis department is to develop creative science and technology solutions to address US national security concerns created by international and regional challenges\. The four primary mission areas are: to provide technical analysis support to US government policies and internal nuclear weapons complex programs, conduct risk\-informed analyses of international security issues and emerging, maintain international networks and competency on global issues \(e\.g\., via Track II engagements, collaborative research and international conferences\), and host international visiting scholars with whom we collaboratively explore technical and political issues affecting regional and global security\.

Security Clearance:



Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\) granted Q\-level security clearance\.



Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre\-employment drug testing, and a pre\-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications\. This Limited Term Employee \(LTE\) position is a temporary position for one year term, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to a maximum of seven years\.
