Join Global Services Engineering (GSE) and become part of an exciting time at P&W as we prepare for Next Generation Product Family Entry-Into-Service and fleet sustainment! Looking for gas turbine engine aftermarket repair design engineer (RDE) for this entry level position.

The NGPF Program is chartering new territory with respect to how post-certification activities are conducted in support of fleet readiness. This is an opportunity to engage at the ground level and help develop new strategies, approaches and methodologies that will shape how the NGPF program is executed in the aftermarket realm while laying the groundwork for new program execution in the future.

Become an integral part of the design, development, and communication for all Next Generation Product Family (NGPF) models and repair integration into the NGPF Aftermarket Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Network.

Provide quality component repair technical data for all NGPF Program Repair Group using Integrated Product Development methods.

Conduct Repair Evaluation Reviews per Priority defined by NGPF Program Leads.

Execute repairs defined to support MRO Network Bid process.

Evaluate repair requests and interface with P&W Engineering to establish repair design

Co-ordinate the design, development and substantiation of repairs in conjunction with
GSM NGPF Program Lead, as well as manage a portfolio of repair development technology
projects from the laboratory to the shop floor.

Consult with legacy component RDE for experience to incorporate P&W Legacy component data into
quality of NGPF Repair EAs.

Evaluate applicable use of existing of legacy repairs of similar components and make
determination with respect to NGPF component. Document evaluation.

Execute NGPF RDE work priorities are consistent with current program directives
as directed by NGPF Program Lead. Identify work efficiency improvements for the entire
NGPF Repair Team to benefit from.

Maintain knowledge of all NGPF RDE activities for the sector and ensure all
tasks are progressed per plan. Report to NGPF Program Lead status and help others achieve
success in their sector.

Identify and raise awareness of NGPF RDE work issues and/or work stops. Work to resolve
to the satisfaction of all parties to enable the task to proceed.

Work collaboratively with repair task structures and other repair review discipline support.

Exercise RDE proficiency to develop career growth potential.

  • Degree in Engineering, majoring in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering
  • M.S. in Engineering will be an advantage
  • Prreferably with experience in a program environment related to engine hardware, design/development/Global Service Partners’ support/manufacturing processes or metallurgy with a track record in jet engine component design, development or repair
