UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) is one of the world’s largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products.ISR & Space Systems is a business unit within UTAS and our products reside in deep space, low earth orbit, undersea and on the ground.We are also a major supplier to international space programs. The ISR & Space Systems business has contributed to significant advances in ground, air, space and imaging technology for over 85 years.Within ISR & Space Systems we design and manufacture Environmental Control and Life Support Systems on the International Space Station, including the space suit, and undersea in submarines.

Duties will include the following:

·Must have practical knowledge of electromagnetic and RF field theory

·Thorough understanding of factors influencing EMC emissions/immunity and mitigating techniques.

·Must be comfortable working hands-on in a laboratory environment.Operation knowledge of frequency domain test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, RF signal generators and amplifiers) is important.

·Actively debug known EMC/EMI problems deep dive into root causes.

·Review and tailor EMI/EMC requirements to meet specified product performance.

·Develop EMC control plan, test procedures and generate test reports

·Candidate will evaluate test and analysis data and generate waivers in the areas of electromagnetic interference (EMI), electrostatic discharge, corona, grounding, isolation, bonding, and wiring.

·Must be familiar with MIL-STD-461 and DO-160

Qualifications
  • 8-20 years of relevant hands on experience.
  • Strong communicator and ability to work with internal and external customers
  • Experience with Totally Integrated Laboratory Environment System (TILE) software is a plus

Education
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
