Company: Sandia National Laboratories
Location: Livermore, CA
Job Title:Embedded Security Professional (Experienced)

:

This position is one of three Embedded Security Professionals (ESP) working at Sandia National Laboratories/California (SNL/CA). The ESP is not an Information Technology (IT) position but rather focused on the protection of classified and sensitive information in all forms. The ESP works directly with various departments to provide a full range of security solutions and ensure the successful protection of all security assets in their assigned area. The ESPs are assigned to one of three possible areas of responsibility: SNL/CA's Limited Area, General Access Area, or a specific Program area. Rotational opportunities may exist between assignments dependent on the needs of the department. The ESPs will partner with each other to jointly address security issues encountered while navigating open to closed environments. The ESPs will be co-located with the departments they support in order to serve as the primary security point of contact, but will be managed by Integrated Security Operations in 8511-1. This position will work closely with SNL/CA's Security Incident Investigator to proactively address conditions which could potentially lead to security incidents.

Required:

Requires a bachelor's degree in relevant discipline plus five or more years of experience; or master's degree in relevant discipline plus two or more years of experience; or doctorate in relevant discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
