The Early Career Development Program (ECDP) is part of Covanta’s strategy to hire and develop a high performing, diverse talent pool. The ECDP is a three-year program in which participants will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and receive wide exposure to Covanta’s different business functions through a coordinated rotation among a variety of assignments, both within and outside their primary department.  Candidates for the ECDP are required to have a bachelor’s degree and zero to three years’ of relevant experience by the hire date. For a list of additional qualifications, please refer to the Position Requirements section below.  ECDP candidates interested in being considered for multiple ECDP positions should submit a separate application for each requisition and include a cover letter describing how the ECDP program fits with their career goals.


The ECDP hire for the Covanta Environmental Solutions team will perform outside sales activities and support the design, development and support of systems and marketing collateral utilized by CES.  This will include administering the CRM system and overseeing dashboards, reporting & marketing activities driven from the CRM system. You will also be a liaison for the sales team to other parts of the organization such as: Business Analytics, Marketing, Legal and IT.


Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Partner with Sales Operations Director and Sales VP in documenting current and future state sales business processes.
  • Partner with IT and NetSuite 3rd party partner in design, configuration, deployment and support of NetSuite CRM software.
  • Provide support with new proposal generation and RPF submittals
  • Maintain and build RFP knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with Covanta corporate marketing team in creating content and supporting marketing/branding efforts for CES.
  • Create and collaborate across CES to provide content for the CES section of the Covanta web site & intranet.
  • Manage the utilization of NetSuite CRM in marketing campaign and related lead generation activities across CES


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business related major or related field(s) from an accredited university/ college

Experience:

  • 0-3 years of relevant experience
  • 1-2 years in Sales or Marketing support role preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Exposure to and/or willingness to learn how to design, configure and support large scale CRM product (SalesForce, NetSuite, MS Dynamics).
  • Proficient with MS Office suite 
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and presentation preparation skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technical writing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
