Department Marketing Statement

The Precision Fluidics Division of Parker Hannifin is a leading supplier of miniature fluidic components and system solutions integral to the world’s medical and analytical instrumentation. Product technologies include miniature solenoid valves, proportional valves, multimedia valves, application-specific manifolds, pumps, and electronic pressure controllers. The Precision Fluidics Division delivers leading edge fluidic solutions that enhance our customer’s technology, increase their speed to market while lowering their overall costs. This is achieved through direct engineering collaboration to generate compact, reliable and high performance components and systems optimized for your application specific requirements.


-Acts as primary technical liaison between designated Region and all Division business units, customers and sales channels. -Provide proactive technical product and applications support to customers and field sales personnel to ensure an optimized product solution, to facilitate sales revenue, and to maintain the Division’s premier customer service position. -Responsible to understanding and interpreting technical requirements and helping to translate those into standard product recommendations, configurable products or custom product capabilities for the Division product portfolio. -Lead pre-Consumer Driven Projects (BOA) submissions and supports post-BOA submissions through effective project management, customer and inter-company communications and product and system design solutions. -Assist business units to transition BOA from design concept to viable product solution and Drive and improve CDP/BOA process from initial project conception to final product release through use of lean tools and Division database enterprise tools (i.e. BOA Systems & OTS) -Helps to qualify leads prior to sending to field sales person and providing other support for field sales as required. (ppf info, technical support calls into PPF, etc.) -Demonstrates industry, business and functional expertise while staying current with developments in industry, functional areas and geographical region -Develop and conduct technical presentations on divisional products to customers and internal staff. -Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of competitive products, identify competitive threats to existing products and platform products under development, generate competitive analysis reports as required, and communicate any changes which would affect market share of division wide products. -May host and train guests (internal or customer) who visits any Division Business Unit. -Provide and maintain the highest degree of customer service, quality of work, and efficiency in all facets of the position. -Develop an understanding of local market, product and application trends for each international Region. -Generate technical and application specific publications/whitepapers which leverage division’s position in marketplace. Scope/Supervision and Interaction: Position responsible for driving the strategic growth segments of the Division through innovative product development and developing target & adjacent market opportunities. Must effectively interface with all Division departments, Business Units and Division staff. Works with minimal daily supervision, but keeps team leaders, International Regional Manager, Territory Managers, Sales Channel and Division staff informed. Will interact daily with Territory Manager, Regional Manager, Business Development Managers, sales companies, Division Representatives/Distributors and product engineering. Reports to the Division Applications Engineering Manager.


-Bachelor of Science in Engineering. (Mechanical, Electro-mechanical or Electrical preferred) -2+ Years Engineering experience within a related field and manufacturing environment (minimum 1 year customer facing role) -Understands fundamentals of fluidics, pneumatics and electro mechanical design. Experience with mass flow controllers, pressure regulators, metering and proportional valves ideal but not required. -Excellent mechanical and electrical comprehension with the ability to understand, describe, and discuss problems of a technical nature -Active listening skills with ability to draw out and articulate the Division technical value proposition to customers. -Excellent project management and organizational skills, ability to communicate effectively and strong active listening skills -Proficient with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Lotus Notes and Division Enterprise CRM and database systems -Individual must possess or be willing to learn knowledge of the local customs, etiquette and business practice

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

Region Responsibility: Responsible for North America or a subset of North America Travel: The employee will be required to travel to customers and/or Precision Fluidics Division Representatives within assigned geographic region on a regular basis. The employee will also be required to travel to the other Division plant locations, trade shows, sales meetings & trainings as required. Typical travel is 25%-30% (5-8 days per month). Office Location: The office location is at PPF’s North Carolina Operations (NCO) located in Mooresville, NC.
