Description: Description About the Position: To lead the IS SuccessFactors implementation linked to the HR business transformation program This role will be responsible for structuring and executing the SuccessFactors program, as well as working with the HR organization to execute the future strategy / vision for HR, and to drive process design / simplification that will inform the SuccessFactors solution’s ultimate design. The IS Program Lead will partner with the HR Program Lead to oversee the workstreams within the SuccessFactors Program and own governance of the program. This role will need to build long term relationships, build and deliver business cases, understand business strategy, and influence the thinking of the business to deliver results. Success in this role is the combination of migrating all of National Grid to a new cloud based technical platform while also helping the HR transform their role and the role of all Grid employees regarding HR processes.

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to: This position is accountable for working with Business Unit and IS managers to understand business requirements and create robust proposals with sound business cases that meet business objectives.

Analyze complex business and IS environments to identify innovative, appropriate and cost effective solutions Work across Global IS teams to ensure alignment between all of the interrelated teams and systems to ensure a seamless implementation of SuccessFactors (e.g. Service Now, IAM, AD). Responsible develop robust investment plans and manage demand for IS Services within HR, ensuring alignment of IS and HR Leadership team objectives. Oversee delivery of the HR Transformation program and successful go-live of the SuccessFactors cloud solution Make use of a range of consultancy techniques, methods, and processes as appropriate to ensure optimal outcomes Building, maintaining and enhancing working relationships with management members of LoB, IS units and direct reports Partner with LoB in the development of strategic and tactical business plans. Manage demand and leverage IS technology to meet business goals and objectives Work with LoB management to understand their costs and find creative ways to reduce costs while increasing IS value. Support in transforming the IS organization into a proactive value-added business-focused service provider Act as a role model Valued Business Partner and help champion these behaviors across the organization Flexibility to travel as role requires (role will include global responsibilities)

Job Dimensions :

Shaping, agreeing and defining spend by IS up to approx. £20m pa (dependent on spend in assigned business area) Will manage a team that will range in size from 70 – 140 resources in total (employees and third parties). Will directly supervise 4-6 leaders.

Qualifications Knowledge & Experience Required:

Direct experience of a broad range of consulting approaches, IS processes and best practices to analyses complex business and IS environments and provide innovative, appropriate and cost effective solutions Experience of IS strategy investment and program planning ensuring alignment with business strategy and priorities Demonstrable experience of large scale program delivery Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to present complex business and technical matters effectively to senior technical and non-technical audiences A good understanding of the business area within which they are operating is beneficial but not required A high-level understanding of IS as applied in the Business Context and able to promote IS solutions Commercial focus – good understanding of the cost and value drivers of IS and the Business and Management of supplier deliverables against contracts Ability to build successful influential relationships and partnerships with senior business and IS management; demonstrate influence over peers and more senior managers in a virtual team environment Ability to lead high performing teams to deliver successful outcomes in a complex, multi-national, matrixed and multi-sourced environment through performance management and talent development Innovative and critical thinker who is willing to take risks to satisfy needs of the business while working in the best interests of the company Good understanding of project and program management processes and measures providing assurance to the Program board and executive steering committee Ability to take initiative and act in a proactive manner; not needing significant direction or management Operate as a role model for Valued Business Partner behaviors Previous experience is likely to have been gained in a consultancy environment, IS organization within a large multi-national or in a business role with significant exposure to IS National Grid is an equal opportunity employer that values a broad diversity of talent, knowledge, experience and expertise.
