Description: Description About the Position: Finance Excellence, Director, Process Engineering is responsible for developing, executing and measuring the implementation and performance of finance processes. Identifies risks and provides governance through reviewing, documenting and validating key financial business processes through the review of processes established by department. Reports to the VP, Finance Excellence and is accountable for the delivery of Process Engineering and Governance and Risk framework throughout finance.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Provides expertise and guidance in establishing processes with partnership with finance. Responsible for documenting and providing recommendations to existing processes to mitigate risks and ensure controls compliance. Manages the validation of processes through validating and observing effectiveness to develop governance recommendations for execution improvements. Partners in the development of Plan to Perform and other process standards and enablers for U.S. Finance. Responsible for communicating and facilitating discussions following finance process reviews to identify gaps in process design and/or execution. Shares learnings with executives across the organization to incorporate learnings into process improvement and prevent risks. Establishes and maintains working relationships across all functional areas in order to understand business needs and identify other opportunities for process improvement. Partners with Corporate Finance and other Finance leaders to ensure key outputs of the company’s strategic plans are embedded into core processes. Responsible for process documentation and working with the business to ensure proper implementation of controls throughout finance. Partners with key functional leaders in addressing cross-functional process interdependencies. Documents objectives, cross-functional intersections, execution steps and escalation protocols. Serves as facilitator and champion for process improvement across the company. Coaches and supports colleagues in process improvement activities and targets. Provides counsel to employees, manages third party consultants and contractors, and advises senior leaders as necessary. Builds and manages results-driven teams by taking a strategic and technical view of performance management by involving employees in planning, relationship building, decision-making, forecasting, and analysis processes.
Qualifications Knowledge & Experience Required:
Knowledge and Experience: Governance strategies and financial processes Process simplification Policy and procedure development Financial process audit Risk mitigation Effective business partnerships Project timelines with competing priorities maintenance End-to-end process review and management Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s preferred, with a minimum of 10 years in finance roles with increasing scope and leading financial processes Experience in financial management, control establishment/documentation and audit experience Ability to build cross-functional relationships and develop company finance policies Demonstrated experience with process/controls implementation Knowledge of common utility Finance practices Experience in finance systems and business process Financial acumen and analytic skills Strong ability to work across department and geographic boundaries Ability to manage competing priorities through effective planning and execution skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to develops others
