Description: Description About the Position: The Director, Finance Business Partner serves as the functional partner to Gas Business Enablement. Responsible for supporting key financial targets inclusive of business plan, budget, forecasts, performance reports and providing guidance on achieving targets and supporting decisions from a financial perspective. Partners with the Jurisdictional business partner areas to provide support. Role reports to VP, Service Company Business Partnering, sits within the Gas Business Enablement PMO structure, is part of the Gas Business Enablement leadership team and maintains close engagement to the SVP, Gas Business Enablement.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Responsible for overseeing the business performance of the program by providing support in areas inclusive of business plan, budget, forecasts, performance reports, business case analyses, commercial agreements, regulatory engagements and providing guidance on achieving targets and supporting jurisdiction decisions. Leads analysis, forecasting, cost control, performance measurements, benchmarking, and alignment on performance metrics to provide analysis Strategic leader and owner of the Gas Business Enablement business case & value framework reporting. Responsible for completing the annual GBE sanctioning paper. Oversee the vendor contracts, payment and executing the commercial framework. Lead the regulatory engagement on GBE and responsible for coordinating GBE’s rate case & IR responses. Leads the engagement into the broader finance organization including with treasury, plant accounting, controls and other areas that will need to support the successful delivery of Gas Business Enablement. Analyses data and makes recommendations on service company operations to improve profitability, operating efficiency, and effectiveness. Provides recommendations to support Service Company and Jurisdiction performance through assisting with complex business cases and providing analysis. Responsible for providing credible data to assist in accuracy of Service Company P & L reporting and reconciliations. Partners with Jurisdiction CFO to provide holistic reporting, business case tracking and alignment on budget variances. Responsible for establishing best practices in Service Company while challenging peers and maintaining key relationships. Identifies and resolves various Service Company finance data and operating issues. Builds and manages results-driven teams by holding employees accountable to planning, accounting, forecasting, relationship building, and decision-making. Accountable for building a high performing team by driving the development of multi-discipline finance professionals. Accountable for ensuring teams adhere and support financial and non-financial controls.
