Systems Design & Component Integration (SD&CI) is looking for a self-directed and dedicated individual to join its team as a Deputy Design Integration Manager for the Adaptive Engine Transition Program (AETD/AETP). The successful candidate will play a role in coordinating/leading all aspects of the Systems Design function on the AETD/AETP Program.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the flow, and assuring the successful completion of, all SD&CI deliverables to internal and external customers
  • Program leadership participation, including significant contributions at the SIPT and IPMT level
  • Air Force Customer interface and Weapon System interface
  • Technical leadership/ownership of select tasks, including resolution of technical challenges, high priority forward-looking engine studies, and contribution to virtually all program technical matters
  • Manpower planning, as well as schedule and financial leadership (at both the SD&CI and overall program level)

The AETP program offers virtually unlimited opportunity to demonstrate and exercise technical and leadership ability, and the scope of this position can and will be tailored to fully utilize and develop the capabilities of the successful candidate.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required
  • Minimum 10 years experience
  • Must be able to obtain a government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • The candidate should have strong leadership and communication capabilities and significant experience in engine system integration
  • The candidate should have a demonstrated capability to balance numerous simultaneous requirements, including prioritization of workload to assure successful outcome for all tasks
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
