The Deputy Chief Engineer – Special Technology Programs (STP) is a significant leadership role in Engineering and Advanced Programs and Technology (AP&T) at Pratt & Whitney. The Deputy Chief Engineer has the responsibility for managing advanced military notional studies, tasks and programs working with a broad range of customers in a classified environment. Notional studies include the evaluation of conceptual vision systems, integrated propulsion system concepts and system-level capabilities. The Chief Engineer will direct internal- and customer-funded tasks targeted at evaluating and maturing new technologies and propulsion concepts. This activity can extend across conceptual design to full-up systems demonstrator programs. The Deputy Chief Engineer will support the Chief Engineer – STP in directing the System Integrated Product Team (SIPT) and in customer coordination.

The Deputy Chief Engineer - STP position is a challenging leadership role in Engineering and development opportunity for a candidate looking to advance in Engineering. The role will provide regular visibility to internal senior leadership as well as external customers. The Deputy Chief Engineer is able to influence and be party to business strategies that P&W will use to grow its leadership position in military products and applications.
