Description: Description About the position: The Data and Visualization Center of Excellence Director (DAC) is a strategic position intended to drive predictive, innovative information intelligence and analytic solutions that contribute to cost savings, operational productivity, and increased revenue. This contribution will come from combining and correlating disparate internal and external structured and unstructured information sources, combined to deliver actionable insights faster, more accurately and with a stronger data-based foundation .
The Director will develop, implement, and manage an enterprise-wide strategy and content delivery to enable the business to achieve strategic plan objectives.
Job responsibilities including but not limited to: Develop, implement, and manage enterprise-wide analytics strategy and content delivery to enable the business to achieve strategic plan objectives – focused on outcomes that drive cost savings, operational productivity, and increased revenue. Demonstrate forward thinking to identify key trends, understand the business’ strategies and develop and deliver information analysis solutions and content that are both indicative and predictive. Identify, source, mine, and leverage external data to achieve identified outcomes. Manage any enhancements to the in-use information management and analytics platforms to ensure appropriate information timeliness. Manage internal IT and external vendor relationships in this space. Identify and recommend additional analytics platforms, tools and methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of analytic timeliness, accuracy, presentation formats and/or content. Collect and analyze information on internal and external attributes that are drivers of decision made broadly across operations, finance, technology, human resource, or other business areas as needed. Establish rigorous design and analysis processes for behavioral modeling, optimization, and other data mining activities. Leverage data science methodologies and techniques as required. Drive the vision, strategy, roadmap and implementation of performance indicators and supporting metrics and trends for Data and Analytics solutions Seek out continuous improvement opportunities and provide input and recommendations Lead continuous improvement efforts. Job Dimensions: Responsible for implementing and managing analytics and insights Deliver actionable insights faster, more accurately and with a stronger data-based foundation Main Interfaces: Reports to the USIS senior leadership and business stakeholders Collaborates with project teams to enable solution delivery success Communicate D&A goals and vision to executive leadership
Qualifications Knowledge, Experience & Technical Know How: Experience 8-10 years of progressive experience in information analysis, business intelligence, information management or related field Experience analyzing large volumes of datasets from multiple sources in a complex environment Previous supervisory or leadership experience Experience working with databases, data analysis, report generation, statistical tools Experience in managing complex models and data analysis Experience in working in cross-functional teams Demonstrated ability to operate effectively at the senior leadership levels of a company Demonstrated strategic planning, managing and delivering customer-focused business solutions Demonstrated management skills, exemplary analytic capabilities Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related discipline with 5-8 years of practical experience (required). Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related discipline and relevant experience architecting complex solutions (preferred). Knowledge & Technical Know-how: High degree of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite Excellent writing proficiency, visual design, and presentation skills required Ability to collect, aggregate, manage and implement programs using a range of data sets and analysis techniques Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills Prior experience managing Data & Analytics implementations, upgrades, transitions Strong working knowledge of Business Intelligence, Data Management, and Visualization applications within the context of Utilities and/or other regulated industries Experience leveraging critical thinking and exposure to change management principles Depth in data driven marketing, segmentation, personalization and targeting techniques High degree of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite Excellent writing proficiency, visual design, and presentation skills required Ability to collect, aggregate, manage and implement programs using a range of data sets and analysis techniques Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
