Description: Description About the Position: Contribute to the overall planning, department coordination and organizational efforts, interfacing effectively with internal and external customers, departments and organizations.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Collate and produce effective information and reports by producing regular analyses in order to ensure the management team, including senior team members, has accurate and up to date information required to assist in goal attainment and KPI awareness Create and distribute ad-hoc reports upon request from internal and external customers. Independently collate, analyze, and disseminate data throughout the management team using Excel, PowerPoint, and other tools, methods and formats in order to concisely support the organization’s decision making process. Manage the development and production of local reporting requirements, i.e., Rental Vehicles, facility planning, Fleet Utilization, Reliability, Customer needs, Cost Control, etc. Manage the day to day relationship with customers/business areas in order to understand their requirements and deliver appropriate solutions, in line with National Grid policies and processes. Manage Company strategies for Division(s) to ensure appropriate level of focus and responses to include but not limited to the following strategies: Reliability, Safety, Customer, Cost Control, etc. Manage the coordination and tracking of safety training requirements for all Divisional employees. Coordinate Company Initiatives across departmental geography and lines of Business. Act as the primary point of contact, providing advice guidance and support to relevant third parties in order to ensure everyone is informed and aware of changes to contracts, schedules and decisions taken. Act as the point of contact for customers/suppliers/business managers in order to provide support and ensure National Grid/business unit deliver against service level agreements Develop relationships with key stakeholders in order to fully explain and support the implementation of National Grid policies, processes, and strategies Monitor and/or assess working practices to ensure area of work is compliant with SHE policies and processes. Assist in the scheduling, presentation, and sharing of information for several regional safety meetings throughout New England.
Qualifications Knowledge & Experience Required: An Associates degree in a related area and two years of experience or 5 years of related equivalent experience Knowledge and experience of one broad work process. Knowledge of National Grid’s business operations, company policies and practices.* Knowledge of relevant industry practice and legislation. Proficient in relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Understanding or project management techniques and methods. Capability Requirements: Identifies basic relationships, such as cause and effect or if-then relationships so that activities are organized in a relevant schedule. Uses direct persuasion to influence others, using basic data, logic or a solid business case to ensure all activities are coordinated in the right order and carried out to plan. Acts as first point of contact for customers, especially to understand their requirements, and takes personal responsibility for correcting problems promptly and communicates customer expectations to monitor delivery and satisfaction. Reviews accuracy of own work and checks that all details are completed on regulatory reports and analyses.
